Tell us a bit about yourself:
What are you passionate about in life, and who are you professionally?
My name is Alessandra, though most people call me Ale or Nenar.
Since I was a child, I’ve had a marked aversion to white and the feeling of emptiness, which instinctively, and later consciously, led me to surround myself with therapeutic objects and colours.
Over the years, I’ve studied extensively, practised, and worked with colour in various fields, experiencing its power and communicative strength firsthand.
In 2011, I registered with the Architects’ Association of Parma and founded the design studio ArchiBaleni. Following my heart’s guidance, I specialized in Interior and Event Design and continued doing what I’ve always done best: combining colours to create certainties, deep foundations, and unbreakable connections.
What does colour mean to you, and how did you use it before discovering the RAH method?
Colour is an integral part of my life, and I realize how much it influences me both psychologically and physiologically. I use it as an essential design tool because it alone can shape how we perceive the spaces around us.
Before discovering the RAH method, defining a project’s palette involved lengthy research and observation (using books, magazines, and applications like Pinterest) to identify recurring colours among a client’s preferences and habits. Despite the time invested, there was no guarantee of success, and I often faced numerous and not always satisfactory revisions.

" In two years with the RAH method, I’ve uncovered over 40 colour identities, and I’ve never had a dissatisfied client since."
Quale valore intendi offrire ai tuoi clienti attraverso il tuo lavoro?
I like to define myself as a “dispenser of colours and good cheer” because I have a profound calling for designing spaces and events that bring happiness!
My goal is to transform every space into a talisman of beauty, energy, and protection. Through light and colour, I create new sources of fertile and vibrant energy.

Finally, your personal thoughts: what hopes do you have for the future of your field?
I hope for the elevation of colour as a widely studied and deeply explored subject. I wish for a shift away from superficial approaches towards greater awareness and commitment to protecting our chromatic heritage, restoring colour’s social value so we can fully enjoy its benefits.
How has the RAH method transformed your approach to design?
The discovery of the RAH method has significantly improved my work by halving the time needed to define the project’s palette and, most importantly, avoiding the long and numerous revisions that used to follow.
I’ve been using this method for two years now, revealing over 40 colour identities, and I’ve never had a client feel dissatisfied or misrepresented by the colours proposed.
