RAH’s purpose is to make colour
a personal journey rather than
a trend-driven process.

Our vision is to redefine the role of colour in design, moving beyond outdated theories to create a world where spaces are shaped by personal stories, emotional resonance, and true individuality.

ANDREEA HARTEA

FOUNDER

"Colour holds as many meanings as there are people observing it."

Andreea Hartea is an independent researcher with over 15 years of expertise in the study of unconscious and emotional perception mechanisms of colour. She studied Visual Arts at NABA and furthered her education with a two-year course in Dynamic Hypnosis and Analogic Psychology at the CID_CNV Institute in Milan. Andreea has enriched her professional experience with courses on Max Luscher’s colour theories, neuroeconomics, wellness culture, and mental health.

In 2020, Andreea Hartea founded RAH Colour Consulting, not just a studio, but the starting point of a chromatic revolution. She began leading immersive training courses for architects and professionals who work with colour, unveiling the most cutting-edge insights into colour perception and its profound emotional impact.

These weren’t ordinary courses. They became the vehicle through which Andreea introduced the world to two pioneering tools she personally developed: the RAH Method and the RAH Palette Generator. Together, they bring an unprecedented fusion of scientific precision and emotional intelligence into the creative process, transforming how we design, choose, and, ultimately, feel.

Driven by her belief that colour, as a mental construct, can reach profound levels of awareness, Andreea continues to develop new perspectives on how colour influences emotional states.

With a unique blend of science, creativity, and humanity, Andreea’s work is transforming how we understand and use colour to enhance well-being. Her theories on subjectivity and methodology have been presented at prestigious venues such as the Politecnico di Milano, IUAD in Naples, LABASAD in Barcelona, PPG, TEDxRoma, Archiproducts, Edison, TED Milano, Mind Architect, The Colour Authority and Golden Goose Academy.

JESSICA SAVARESE

CO-FOUNDER

Jessica Savarese is an experienced designer and entrepreneur with a passion for creating spaces that reflect the individuality of those who inhabit them. With over a decade of expertise in interior design and space planning, she holds a Master’s in Architecture and has honed her skills through international collaborations, including designing sustainable housing solutions in Asia.

Her journey has taken her from her native Italy to Vancouver, Canada, where she now leads a thriving interior design practice, transforming homes into authentic reflections of her clients' lives.

Jessica’s design philosophy is deeply rooted in understanding each client as a unique individual, shaped by their personal experiences. Her approach is inspired by the belief that a space should be more than functional or beautiful, it should tell a story that resonates with the people who call it home.

Beyond design, Jessica’s commitment to social causes reflects her belief in the value of every individual. From volunteering in Asia to support underprivileged communities to her current work with battered women in Vancouver, she advocates for empowerment and individuality. These experiences have deepened her resolve to challenge generalized design solutions, promoting a more inclusive approach that honours the diversity of human stories.

In 2024, Jessica became the COO and co-founder of RAH Colour Consulting, where she plays a pivotal role in operational strategy and connecting the world of design with RAH’s groundbreaking methodology. Through RAH, Jessica champions the idea that colour is personal and emotional, and that design should honour the intricacies of human experience.

Our mission is to empower design professionals by providing a scientifically backed platform that reveals the personal, emotional connections individuals have with colour, transforming design into a meaningful and authentic expression of identity.

EVOLUTION OF THE RAH METHOD

2012

Andreea deepens her studies into colour through neuroscience and neuroaesthetics, exploring how colour influences aesthetic judgment, emotions, and behaviour.

2013

Andreea creates Emotive Portraits, her first major artistic project, using hypnosis to extract colours from personal memories.
The project involves 30 contemporary Italian artists, including Michelangelo Pistoletto, Agostino Iacurci, Giani Politi, Luca Vitone, Masbedo (Nicolò Massazza and Iacopo Bedogni), and Valerio Berruti. Each artwork transcends logical attributes like age, gender, or fame, focusing on the individual’s emotional identity through colour. This same year, she continued her research into mental health and wellness culture.

2015

Andreea applies the RAH method to interior design for the first time. She collaborates with a family in Rome to design their home using only colours tied to their positive emotions. This marks the first practical use of the method beyond visual arts, emphasizing its potential for well-being.

2016

Andreea attempts to digitize the RAH method. However, the inclusion of hypnosis proves too complex for the available technology, requiring advanced tools like virtual reality and biometric devices.

2018

Andreea begins consulting with architectural and interior design studios, using her hypnotic approach to unlock clients’ subconscious colour preferences.

2020

To make RAH more accessible, Andreea replaces hypnosis with a colour-based test, preserving the method’s depth and accuracy.
That same year, she establishes RAH Colour Consulting, training professionals, primarily in Italy, to use her method.

2021

The RAH method expands across Europe, gaining recognition among professionals in design, architecture, and other creative fields.

2022

The RAH test undergoes further optimization, refining the process for greater precision and ease of use.

2023

Andreea launches the Palette Generator, a digital tool that calculates personalized colour palettes in seconds, simplifying the application of the RAH method.

2024

The RAH method expands across diverse industries, including interior design, architecture, marketing, and psychology, offering transformative insights. Resonating with the same values and a shared desire to bring colour back into people's lives, Jessica Savarese joined Andreea Hartea to co-develop a platform that streamlines workflows for designers and enhances personalization.

2011

A personal discovery of hypnosis leads Andreea to complete training in Analogical Psychology and Dynamic Hypnosis.
She identifies the profound connection between color, emotions, and unconscious associations, shaping the foundation of her future work.

2025

After a year of collaboration and development, Jessica and Andreea launch the RAH Platform, making this groundbreaking method accessible to professionals worldwide.

2009

During her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Andreea Hartea begins focusing on color, challenging classical theories that fail to achieve the emotional impact she seeks. Her journey into independent color research begins.
